Topic: PC and Epidydimis infection - connected maybe?
The background is I have LEFT side epidydimis inflammation for 20 years+-. It causes a tingling sensation most days in a months, and wake me up at night 2 or 3 times a month. I saw several doctors and they prescribed Ibuprofen, so I would take it for a few days, and then just let it go. They told me to not to worry about it if there is no major major pain. It is not that major (I have high pain tolerance). But it is definitely there and not to far from the prostate.
I was recently diagnosed with Gleason score of 7 (4+3), PSA 10+-, with no enlargement of prostate. Prostate volume 25 cc. DRE showed nothing remarkable. However, biopsy (10 cores) showed nothing on the right side and 33% involvement on the LEFT side. Color Doppler and black and white ultrasound revealed 2 tumors on the LEFT side located from mid PZ to midline apex.

I asked several of the PC doctors if the chronic epidydimis problem could have led to my prostate cancer, as there is talk about "inflammation" as a potential cause of the cancer. These 2 organs are sure close enough. But they all told me NO.

I just feel quite odd that they (epidydimis pain and prostate cancer) both happened on the left side.
I would appreciate it if you could let me know what you feel if the epidydimis infection and my PC cancer could somehow be connected in your many years of experience in treating a variety of patients.
Thank you so much.

I do not know if the prostate cancer is related to your epidydimis infection. If the doctor says no, it is quite possible that it is just a coincidence of both events happening on the same side.

How are you treating your prostate cancer? Are you still in the research phase? or treatment phase. Please share.
